Facial Reflexology
I offer Facial Reflexology treatments using the Bergman method, pioneered by Ziggie Bergman, creator of the Zone Face Lift. This is a wonderfully relaxing and, above all, comforting treatment involving reflexology-style pressure massage to the face.
Facial Reflexology focusses on reflex points on the face to help stimulate the body’s own healing processes, improve circulation, and to encourage the release and elimination of toxins. In this way, Facial Reflexology aims to help improve health and wellbeing just like Foot Reflexology, but because it involves working directly on the face, it can also help you to look younger, age well and have a lovely, healthy glow.
In addition, because the face is much closer to the brain and cranial nerves than the feet, it can be an especially powerful treatment for those who suffer from migraines and headaches, bruxism (teeth grinding or jaw clenching), Bell’s palsy and sinus conditions.
Facial Reflexology aims to:
• Relieve the effects of stress and generate a sensation of calm and relaxation.
• Alleviate mental strain and help concentration.
• Relieve tension in the muscles of the face, head and neck.
• Improve circulation to the face and head area.
• Improve lymphatic drainage and the removal of toxins and waste products.
• Help relieve sinus congestion.
• Have a direct rejuvenating effect on the skin to leave the face glowing and radiant.

I love providing reflexology treatments for my clients that enhance their wellbeing and I know that you will love the Facial Reflexology as much as I do! It is a different experience compared to foot reflexology: just as relaxing but most of my clients find it even more nurturing and comforting.
Training and Qualifications
I trained at the London School of Reflexology: in Foot Reflexology under Lousie Keet and in Facial Reflexology under Ziggie Bergman, both leaders in their field. I gained an ITEC level 3 qualification in Reflexology and the Advanced Facial Reflexology course is also ITEC-recognised. I am a member of the Association of Reflexologists and am fully insured.
Products
I use high quality products from the Zone Face Lift range, primarily the Facial Elixir, a ground-breaking formulation of therapeutic botanicals and essential oils such as white poppy seed, prickly pear, peach, white sage, rose and ylang ylang, which nourish the skin beautifully. Each bottle also contains an amethyst crystal, known for its meditative qualities to promote calm, balance and peace. And on top of that, it smells and feels wonderful!
The Facial Elixir is suitable for all skin types – however I can perform a patch test if you have sensitive skin, or I can use plain jojoba oil, or even use your own facial oil on you if you prefer. You only need to ask!
Contraindications for Facial Reflexology
There are very few contraindications for Facial Reflexology, it really is a lovely treatment suitable for almost everyone. However there are some cautions:
Face lift – I cannot treat for the first 3 months following a face lift operation – ideally you will have the “all-clear” for facial treatments from your consultant by then and we can proceed.
Botox – I cannot treat the first 3 weeks following botox injections. Please also be aware that reflexology aims to help eliminate toxins from the body and since botox is technically a toxin, this treatment may reduce the effects of the botox. If you do go ahead with the Facial Reflexology treatment, please advise me of the areas which have been treated with botox as I will work more lightly over those areas.
Facial fillers – I cannot treat the first 3 weeks following facial filler injections. Please advise me of the areas which have been treated with fillers as I will work more lightly over those areas.
Pregnancy – I do not treat during pregnancy.
Allergies – as noted above (under “Products”), I can adapt the treatment to use a different product if you have sensitive skin or allergies. Please advise me of this in advance of the treatment date/time, so we can plan the alternative approach.
Cold sore or a minor cut – I can still provide a treatment if the area can be covered with a band aid (plaster) or similar covering and the area can be avoided. Please advise me in advance so we can discuss the approach.
Spots, acne – I will simply avoid working too deeply over the specific area. The Facial Elixir I use is non-comedogenic (it won’t block pores) and has anti-bacterial properties, so it shouldn’t aggravate the condition and since the treatment itself is aimed at improving circulation and the removal of toxins, it could prove beneficial.
